Sky Golem Crash Incoming

It looks like the Sky Golem time has ended and with the level squash we will be seeing an even bigger quantity increase and price drop.

Sky Golem Crash

Sky Golem Quantity Increase

The Sky Golem quantity has largely increased by 58% over the last month. A couple of reasons for the increase has to do with;

  • The increase of gold makers.
  • The ending of the Brutosaures being sold by the vendor. People were selling more to make that last bit of gold.
  • The new auction house system may be helping with it.
  • More engineers per realm

Also, the region value of the Sky Golem has decreased from 48.585 gold to 45.571 gold in the last month.

It seems that on the release date of pre-patch 9.0.1 the 13th and 14th of October, the amount climbed even more as you can see on the second image on the left. The vendor sale stopped for the Brutosaur when the pre-patch came and people dumped the Sky Golem after. You can also see a price decrease after that and the amount keeps increasing.

Engineering Armies

But it seems that the worst has yet to come according to The Lazy Goldmaker and he has a point there. In the link, you can read about his thoughts on the Sky Golem market and changes.

To craft a Sky Golem, it costs 30 days to make one because of the 30 Jard’s Peculiar Energy Source that are needed and have a daily cooldown.

Since level squish, leveling has become easier and faster than before. Making an engineer to craft a Sky Golem now, only takes 2-3 hours. So starting from the 13th and 14th of October, people could make more engineers and the first ones should be ready on the 5th and 6th of November. We shall have to wait how much that increase will be

Sky Golem History

So far we haven’t seen an increase in Sky Golems in a pre-patch before.

As you can see during the Legion pre-patch there was a pretty stable quantity of Sky Golems on the market. The quantity decreased for 2 months until the demand dropped and the amount increased what made the price drop.

The same you can see is with the Battle for Azeroth pre-patch. It went slightly up (that spike and drop of 1.100 to 5.000 in a day seems like an error), dropped during the release of Battle for Azeroth and price dropped again.

The Sky Golem Price in Shadowlands

It seems that the Sky Golem market won’t be doing much good and that we will see a decrease in price over the next 2-3 months.

It’s very hard to tell now what exactly is going to happen in Shadowlands. We will see a different market now that we have the new auction house system for the first time at the start of an expansion. One thing is for sure, as long as the quantity stays high or even grows, the prices will stay low or even get lower.
